Skilled Engineers, Scientists, and Multi-Disciplinary Experts

Our global team of engineers, scientists, and multi-disciplinary experts brings a unique blend of experience, expertise, and specific skillsets to the day-to-day challenges and future goals of our customers, especially customers in the pharmaceutical industry.

When you partner with us, you won’t end up with technicians reading from scripts or engineers with no scientific skills or background. Instead, you will have experienced engineers, scientific resources, and staff with a combination of technical and scientific skills focused on your goals and objectives.

Pharma Lab Apprenticeship

Modern pharmaceutical laboratories require a broad range of skills to operate safely, productively, and with optimal levels of efficiency. Many roles in the modern pharmacuetical laboratory require skills covering both science and IT, with some roles also requiring knowledge and experience of operational technologies.

At Westbourne, we have a unique Pharma Lab Apprenticeship initiative that upskills and cross-skills our engineering and scientific resources in key areas including validation (CSV and CSA), quality assurance, GMP, GAMP5, LIMS, CDS (especially Empower CDS), data management, and more.

We also have a professional development and continuous improvement culture across the organization, ensuring you benefit from the latest expertise, knowledge, and industry best practice standards.

From our staff

★★★★★

"I joined Westbourne as a Service Desk Engineer but my role has now evolved to Lab IT Info System Engineer where I work with key life sciences sector customers. I was able to take on this role following training in areas such as validation, GMP, quality assurance, and LIMS. I still use my technical and IT knowledge and experience but through Westbourne’s Pharma Lab Apprenticeship, I am now much better equipped to meet the very specific needs of our pharmaceutical industry clients."

"Working with customers in the pharmaceutical industry is one of the best things about the job. There are always new technologies and processes to learn, which keeps me on my toes. It is also rewarding to know that the products being manufactured help patients all over the world. It makes what we do even more important."

"Westbourne is a unique company. There are staff working in all different locations for different clients and on different projects, but you never feel alone or unconnected. There is always support available whenever you need it, whether it's help to resolve a technical challenge or just to ask a simple question. There is a real team effort and everyone I have met or talked to is helpful."
